Somalia Al shabaab promise Kenya army ‘pain of the bullets’

Al Shabaab soldiers have promised to give Kenya army a pain of the bullet after they entered Somalia

Even with scanty details coming in on the war Kenya has entered against Al Shabaab terror group, already the terror group has promised the career Kenya army the pain of the bullets.

And a few hours later 5 Kenya military personnel are reported killed in Liboi after chopper crashes on developing mechanical problems.

The group called on Somalis to rally and attack the Kenyan troop even as news coming in say the terror group has been forced out of two strongholds in Southern Somali.

“Kenya violated the territorial rights of Somalia by entering our holy land, but I assure you that they will return disappointed, God willing,” Sheikh Hassan Turki, a senior  al shabaab leader, is quoted by Al Jazeera as saying.

“Mujahideen fighters will force them to test the pain of the bullets.”

Turki has told Somalis to stand united against “this blood-thirsty enemy that has crossed into our territories and the apostate Somali militants helping them”.

Al shabaab  spokesman Ali Mohamud Rage today  threatened Kenya with suicide attacks like those that killed 76 people in Uganda last year.

Rage told a news conference in Mogadishu  that Kenya must pull its troops out of Somalia.

Heavy troops deployment has been witnessed in the porous border with Somalia after Internal Security minister George Saitoti declared the Al shabaab group and enemy of the state on Saturday.

Is Kenya ready to fight Al Shabaab?

Even before the war begins a Kenya military helicopter crashed yesterday night in Liboi. No casualties have been reported but eye witnesses claim the two choppers which are suspected of attacking the rebel held Qoqani earlier in the day.

But sources within the military say Kenya has the full backing of US which has been helping the Kenyan navy with tracking the rebels on the Indian Ocean. The Al shabaab group has been blamed for the kidnap of a British and French nationals in Lamu.

The Kenyan army though considered superior in training but may find the going tough fighting the al shabaab which has no rules of combat.
