Jubilee presidential candidate Uhuru Kenyatta has the largest following on Social Media closely followed by Narc Kenya presidential hopeful Martha Karua. At the third place is Eagle Alliance Peter Kenneth while Raila Odinga of Cord comes fourth.

Uhuru Kenyatta has 330,000 likes on his Facebook page and 92,000 followers on Twitter. In total Uhuru has about 430,000 followers on Social Media. But it should be noted that most social media users may follow a candidate both on Twitter and still like their page on Facebook.

Not safe : The social media website has admitted to watching users when logged out

Social network site Facebook has admitted that it monitors every single web page you visit, even when you have logged out.
In its latest privacy blunder, the social networking site was forced to confirm that it constantly tracks its 750million users, even when they are using other sites.

Kenya 2004 Nobel Peace Prize winner Wangari Maathai died September 25,2011 at Nairobi Hospital. This is what the social media reacted to her death.

Wangari Maathai, a Kenyan environmentalist who made it her mission to teach her countrywomen to plant trees and became Africa ‘s first female Nobel Peace Prize winner, has died. She was 71.

Wangari Maathai obituary

For a young Kikuyu girl growing up in the early 1940s, the small village of Ihithe, in the lush central highlands of Kenya, was next to perfect. There were no books or gadgets in the houses, but there were leopards and elephants in the thick forests around, clean water, rich soils, and food and work for everyone.
