Arrest Waititu now-DPP orders

Kenya Director of Public Prosecution,DPP, has ordered  the immediate arrest of Embakasi Mp Ferdinand Waititu for hate speech.

Keriako Tobiko’s order came a few minutes after the controversial MP who is also an assistant minister of Water apologized to the Masai community after pressure from Kenyans on  social media especially (KOT).

The Mp had on Monday ordered  Kayole residents to evict Masai people from his constituency after a young man was allegedly killed by some Masai watchmen. Kayole is in Embakasi  in Eastern Nairobi.

But today Waititu ate the humble pie and issued a statement blaming the pressure on political opponents who are against his Nairobi Governor bid.

“The only wrong thing I did was to mention Maasai. We have Kenyan Maasai, and Tanzania Maasai,’Said the Mp at Parliament.

Waititu who is not new to aggressive behavior said: ‘I have Maasai blood myself.I cant condemn my own people.”

Typical of all politicians who find themselves in the wrong side of the law Waititu blamed the Media  and especially NTV  and said they  should apologize for giving false information.

Waititu woes increased after his party leader Uhuru Kenyatta asked him to immediately apologise.

“I strongly condemn any kind of comments and actions that can either be seen to be divisive or against national unity. This is because TNA, its members and myself are strong advocates of national unity, togetherness, national cohesion and integration. More importantly, Kenya, including Nairobi, belongs to all of us. If Mr Waititu believes in the values and beliefs of TNA, I demand that he apologises to the people of Kenya and the concerned community for the comments attributed to him yesterday,” said Kenyatta.
